So far I have been impressed. If he can stay healthy he could be awesome. Arrieta was a gamer but his skills were going downhill. Everyone knew it that is why it took so long to sign him.

After watching Jake Arrieta and Alex Cobb get fairly large contracts recently, I am pretty stoked that the Cubs got a deal on Yu Darvish even though it's a hefty $$$ investment.

He is an elite strikeout pitcher in the prime of his career and he won't be stressed to win every game because he has four other capable pitchers in the Cubs rotation.

Shrewd move by the Theo Epstein and I think he will blossom under the Cubs relaxed clubhouse environment.
