The Chicago Cubs (22-20) will play against the San Fransisco Giants (19-26) at 7:05 p.m. CDT on Monday night televised on WGN-TV and MLB Network.
Veteran righty John Lackey will take the mound for the defending World Champions as he is 3-0 with a 3.86 ERA in his last four starts. For the season, he is 4-3 with 4.37 ERA with 49 strikeouts. Cubs rookie Ian Happ and slugger Kyle Schwarber are both out of the starting lineup for today's action but will probably both get chances to pinch-hit for the Northsiders.
