WATCH: Baez fired up after blasting 420-foot no-doubter |
PHOENIX — Putting the Chicago Cubs up 3-0 over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday, Cubs infielder Javier Baez jacked a monstrous 420-foot blast out beyond center field. The two-run shot served as Baez's 32nd home run of the season and increased Javy's RBI total to 105.
Javy just had a long shot to put the Cubs up 3-0 and yeah, he knew he got it.?? Coming on a slider thrown at the bottom of the strike zone by Diamondbacks starting pitcher Patrick Corbin, the dinger left that bat at 103 miles per hour and sported a launch angle of 28 degrees. Fired up after going yard, Baez emphatically tossed his bat aside and let out a primal scream as soon as he made contact, knowing that he had just powered out a no-doubter.
