The Cubs decimated the Cardinals starter Michael Wacha tagging him with seven hits, four walks and nine runs in the 13-5 win on Friday night.
In the fifth inning, Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber crushed a three-run homer to dead center field to put the Cubs up 8-1 over their rivals. The majestic blast went an estimated 465 feet and had an exit velocity of 111.1 mph. It was his 12th homer of the season and was the third longest opponent homer in Busch Stadium history.
