The wait is no more as Cubs regular season baseball is back!
The Cubs will battle the Texas Rangers on Thursday at 3:05 p.m. CDT at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. The Cubs will be playing in Arlington for the first time since 2010. Since the beginning of interleague play, the Cubs are 8-for-15 against the Rangers. The game will be televised on MLB.TV, WGN, and Fox Sports South West. The lineup news has Ben Zobrist at DH, newcomer Mark Zagunis in LF (first Opening Day start), David Bote at 2B (first opening day start) and Kyle Schwarber will be sitting against the lefty pitcher. He was 18-6 with a 3.32 ERA and a 1.31 WHIP in 32 starts last season. He will be matched up against lefty Mike Minor (0-0, 0.00 ERA) who will be pitching his first ever Opening Day start. Interestingly, he has won all six starts (Braves) against the Cubs in his career. He was 12-8 with a 4.18 ERA in 28 starts for the Rangers last season.
