WATCH: Matt Mervis smacks his first major league homer

Chicago Cubs first baseman Matt Mervis made personal history on Tuesday night as he hit his first homer in the major leagues.

The homer went 393 feet with a travel velocity of 110.7 MPH and was a rocket off of the foul pole.

This is great news for Cubs fans, as Mervis can probably relax a little by getting his first homer out of the way.
