CHICAGO — With the fourth RBI of his big-league career, recent Chicago Cubs call-up
Robel Garcia came through in the clutch by hitting a 2-out RBI double on Sunday. Putting the Cubs up 1-0 on the Pittsburgh Pirates at Wrigley Field, the second baseman connected on an 0-2 pitch and turned it into an RBI 2-bagger.
Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo scored from third base on the play. Garcia smacked a four-seamer thrown by Pirates starter Trevor Williams to deep right field for his first double as a member of the Cubs. Garcia has manufactured multiple critical hits since being promoted to the majors prior to the All-Star break, and Sunday's go-ahead hit was the latest example.
