Cubs will have a new TV network in 2020 |
The Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Blackhawks have reached a new deal with NBC Sports Chicago according to MLB insider Bruce Levine on Tuesday.
The new NBC Sports Chicago will not have the Cubs included on their channel and will begin in October 2019. "The Cubs are splitting apart on their own venture, which is expected to begin in February 2020, when spring training starts to open a new season," Levine said. "The Cubs are expected to have a broadcast equity partner in their new venture." Breaking news -Sources tell me the White Sox - Bulls and Blackhawks will partner with NBC Sports Chicago on a new regional network starting in Oct of 2019 .An announcement of the agreement will come soon . The Cubs will have their own regional network with new broadcast partner. The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that the new network will be called Marquis which is with the Sinclair Broadcast Group.
