Giants-Reds game delayed because of swarms of bees |
The San Franciso Giants were hoping for an easy win against the last-place Cincinnati Reds on Monday afternoon.
However, it appears that they will have to wait a while for that chance as a swarm of bees has occupied near home plate and the diamond seats area causing an official delay to the game. "Fans, Today's game is being delayed due to bees," the Reds announced via their scoreboard. "We will continue to keep you updated." If the Reds didn't want to lose, they could have just forfeited; they didn't have to release a bunch of angry bees causing chaos. This is the first time I have heard of a BEE delay. Hopefully, none of the players, fans, workers, umpires, etc. get stung today. There are rain delays and lightning delays and then there’s today in Cincinnati... pic.twitter.com/mu1hjWaIH7 We are currently in a bee delay at GABP. ?? pic.twitter.com/lOmvC2X7tz Send everyone home forever pic.twitter.com/G9mtmKcgo6 The Giants-Reds game is currently under delay due to BEES ?? pic.twitter.com/3tYKKFdCE9
