Cubs News: Kris Bryant rehab update

by - Senior Editor -

One of the key ingredients for the success for the Chicago Cubs next season is the health of former MVP Kris Bryant.

In 2018, Bryant hit .272 with 13 homers, 52 RBIs, and an on-base percentage of .374.

Bryant has been hampered by inflammation in his left shoulder that really took a toll this past season. The 26-year old has not had surgery on the shoulder but has been resting and rehabbing it.

Cubs President of Operations Theo Epstein said on Thursday to the media that Bryant has progressed from his left shoulder injury as expected with no limitations and should resume hitting in January according to MLB insider Carrie Muskat.

Keep your fingers crossed but it appears that Bryant will be close to 100 percent and ready to roll once spring training hits in a few months.
