Cubs News: Patrick Wisdom named National League Rookie of the Month

Cubs third baseman Patrick Wisdom was named the National League Rookie of the Month for June on Friday.

Wisdom is hitting .260 with eight homers and 16 RBIs in 27 games during June.

He has an impressive .295 average for his short career with 11 homers and 19 RBIs in 34 games since being called up on May 25.

He will be in the starting lineup tonight for the Cubs against the Reds as he returns from an upper body injury he suffered on a collision when he played first base on Wednesday against the Brewers.
