Yu Darvish buys steak and lobster dinner for minor league teams

by - Senior Editor -

Cubs starter Yu Darvish is certainly one of the good guys in major league baseball.

Darvish pitched fiving innings giving up only one run with five strikeouts during his rehab performance with the South Bend Cubs on Tuesday night. It was his first mound appearance since May 20 against the Reds.

After the game, he bought steak and lobster dinners from Ruth's Chris Steak House for his minor league teammates AND the players from the opponent's team. Classy move by Darvish.

It was a full spread and check out the picture below of West Michigan's team (Detroit Lion's affiliate) getting to feast too after the game.

Congratulations to Darvish on doing something really nice for the guys that are grinding it out in the minors that don't get paid nearly as much as the big leaguers.
