CHICAGO (March 25, 2019) – The Chicago Cubs and hospitality partner Levy are bringing a locally sourced focus to Wrigley Field dining locations in 2019. From leveraging fresh ingredients for classic Chicago ballpark dishes to highlighting some of the best chefs in the city, fans will notice high-quality ingredients and chef-prepared culinary twists in all areas of the ballpark. New food options include hand-breaded pork strips with house-made Japanese barbecue sauce, beer can chicken sandwiches, loaded fries topped with short ribs braised in-house and a rotating lineup of limited-time only dishes featuring seasonal ingredients and crafted by Levy’s culinary team. Fans also can sip from a significantly expanded craft beer selection, and the popular Chef Series presented by Maker’s Mark returns for its third season.

“We really focused on adding diverse flavors, fresh ingredients, and creative new dishes that still feel very true to the Wrigley Field experience,” said David Burns, senior executive chef for Levy at Wrigley Field. “Baseball season and dining season go hand-in-hand in Chicago, and we want Wrigley Field to be a place people come to taste the best flavors of the city’s many cuisines.”

Over the past five years, the Cubs have expanded their unique concessions offerings by 34 percent and added approximately 100 new points of sale throughout Wrigley Field as a result of their efforts to preserve and improve the ballpark. Fans in the upper level will enjoy enhanced food and beverage selections and faster service with nearly double the points of sale this year compared to 2018.
