MILWAUKEE — Bounding past Milwaukee Brewers first baseman Yasmani Grandal and down the right-field line, Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo's fifth-inning double put the Cubs up 4-2 on Thursday. The 2-run double at Miller Park served as a go-ahead 2-bagger.
Coming against Brewers reliever Jay Jackson, the double bounced beyond first base and scored Nicholas Castellanos and Ben Zobrist. Zobrist led off the inning with a walk, and Castellanos followed that with a single.
