WATCH: Bryant smashes 401-foot 2-run moonshot

by - Senior Writer -

Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant currently holds the active MLB-leading on-base streak at 26 games, which is the highest such streak of his career. In the midst of one on the best offensive stretches of his career, Bryant hammered his ninth home run of the season on Friday night against the Washington Nationals, with the 2-run shot putting the Cubs up 5-2 in the seventh.

Bryant hit a rocket high into the night sky for a 401-foot jack that plated second baseman Addison Russell and increased Bryant's RBI total to 28. Bryant got underneath a fastball thrown by Nationals reliever Justin Miller and cranked a moonshot out to left-center. The dinger left the bat at 31 degrees and 100 miles per hour.
