WATCH: Contreras follows up Baez's bomb with one of his own

by - Senior Writer -

Just two at-bats after Chicago Cubs shortstop Javier Baez smacked a moonshot to left field, Cubs catcher Willson Contreras swatted an opposite-field shot that landed in the basket atop the right-field wall at Wrigley Field. Contreras' solo blast put the Cubs ahead of the Los Angeles Angels by a score of 8-1.

With his 13th home run and 33rd RBI of the year, Contreras got underneath a first-pitch fastball thrown over the plate by Angels reliever Luis Garcia and skied it 361 feet to right. Scorched off the bat at 104 miles per hour, the dinger had a launch angle of 32 degrees.
