MILWAUKEE — Entering the sixth inning at Miller Park on Friday, the Chicago Cubs were being no-hit by Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez. However, in a span of just a few minutes, the Cubs went from having no hits to having a 2-run lead, as second baseman David Bote put the Cubs on the board with a 2-run home run that provided the North Siders with a 2-0 lead.

Powering out his 10th homer of the season, Bote followed up a leadoff infield single by center fielder Albert Almora Jr. with a 411-foot jack to left-center. Bote took Gonzalez deep on a four-seamer, with the 2-run shot flying off the bat at 105 miles per hour and 25 degrees.
