WATCH: Highlights from Cubs' 10-1 beatdown of A's

by - Senior Writer -

CHICAGO — The Chicago Cubs (62-52) certainly came to play at Wrigley Field on Wednesday, as they knocked the proverbial cover off the ball and shellacked the Oakland Athletics (65-50). Ian Happ provided the Cubs with the lead via a fourth-inning grand slam, and the North Siders went on to win 10-1.

Jose Quintana started on the mound for the Cubs in the rubber match, and he produced a stellar 7-inning outing. At the plate, the Cubs amassed 11 hits, including three home runs, and never trailed after Happ hammered his first grand slam of the season.
