CHICAGO, Ill. — Thanks to three tape-measure home runs, the Chicago Cubs (29-18) notched their second straight victory over the Philadelphia Phillies (28-21) on Wednesday.

Javier Baez went yard, respectively, and contributed all eight of the Cubs' runs in the 8-4 Chicago win.
On the mound, Cubs starter Cole Hamels faced off against the Phillies, a former club of his, for the first time in his career. Furthermore, he faced off against his namesake, as rookie Phillies starter Cole Irvin toed the rubber on the night. Cubs reliever Tyler Chatwood showed up the Coles with a solid four innings of relief that resulted in him receiving the winning decision.
