CHICAGO – Playing a game of "basket ball," Chicago Cubs center fielder Ian Happ lined a home run that landed in the basket atop the Wrigley Field wall for the second time in the four-game series versus the Washington Nationals. The go-ahead two-run jack barely cleared the wall in the right field corner, putting the Cubs up 3-2 over the Nationals in the third inning on Thursday.

A fielding error committed at third base by former Cub Starlin Castro extended the inning not long before Happ went yard, as shortstop Javier Baez reached due to the error with two outs. Baez then stole second base and was subsequently plated by Happ's 365-footer off an 89.1-mph changeup thrown by starter Joe Ross. Happ now has five home runs and 10 RBIs on the year.
