CHICAGO — In the top of the first on Monday, Chicago Cubs center fielder Jason Heyward robbed a leadoff hit by racing back and making a leaping catch near the warning track. The impressive snag resulted in the first out of the ballgame between the Cubs and the Cincinnati Reds.

Reds second baseman Alex Blandino smacked a line drive off Cubs starting pitcher Cole Hamels to open Monday's action at Wrigley Field, but Heyward was able to track it down. After jumping it and extending his right arm above his head, Heyward was able to glove the liner as part of a superb web gem.
