CINCINNATI — Preventing the Reds from turning their 4-3 lead into a 5-3 lead, Chicago Cubs right fielder
Jason Heyward made a leaping grab to rob the Reds' Nick Senzel of a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth on Sunday. Leaving his feet to make the backhanded snag at Great American Ball Park, Heyward caught a ball that was otherwise certain to carry out of the park.
A five-time Gold Glove Award recipient, Heyward has pulled off several impressive defensive web gems in the Cubs' weekend series against the Reds. Senzel was so impressed with Heyward's catch that he removed his batting helmet and saluted Heyward for his incredible play. J-Hey brings one back! pic.twitter.com/wsP28gZ9vu
