by - Senior Writer -

PHILADELPHIA — After hitting his 100th career home run earlier in the game, Chicago Cubs left fielder Kyle Schwarber made an impact on the defensive side of the ball during the seventh inning on Thursday. Laying out for a stellar diving catch, Schwarber robbed the Philadelphia Phillies' Cesar Hernandez of a leadoff hit.

Securing the snag while rolling on the outfield grass, Schwarber made the difficult web gem look easy after racing in to make a play on the line drive. The Phillies wound up going scoreless in the seventh, thereby remaining scoreless in the contest, as the Cubs led 5-0 at Citizens Bank park.
