MLB released a heartfelt video showcasing
Javier Baez's journey to major league stardom.
During the video, Baez talks about his early struggles adapting to American baseball and how he overcame it with the help of his family and faith. "My father taught me this game and my sister inspired me to conquer it," Baez said. "When I first came to the States, I struggled to adapt but as I developed my skills, defined by style, honored my family, and paid tribute to my home, I found my voice." "Amid the magic of the game, this is how I learned to play and this is who I am. They call me 'El Mago' - The Magician. Call me what you want. I just wanna play."
