CHICAGO — Hitting his first home run since being acquired from the Chicago Cubs last week, outfielder Nicholas Castellanos swatted an opposite-field blast in the first inning on Monday night. Putting the Cubs up 1-0 over the Oakland Athletics, Castellanos tabbed his first long ball as a Cub.

Castellanos reached out and made contact on a fastball thrown just outside the strike zone and sent it flying over the wall in right at Wrigley Field for a 372-foot bomb. The drive off Athletics starter Chris Bassitt boasted a launch angle of 26 degrees.
