WATCH: Nicholas Castellanos smacks 2-run round-tripper |
NEW YORK — With the third opposite-field 2-run home run of the night for the Chicago Cubs, right fielder Nicholas Castellanos contributed to the shellacking of New York Mets starting pitcher Noah Syndergaard on Wednesday. Taking Syndergaard deep on a slider in the third inning, Castellanos put the Cubs up 10-1.
The 2-run blast by Castellanos sailed 383 feet out to right-center at Citi Field after leaving the bat at 100 miles per hour and 31 degrees. It served as Castellanos' 20th dinger of the season. Cubs center fielder Jason Heyward was scored as a result of the bomb. Nicholas Castellanos puts us in double digits!#EverybodyIn pic.twitter.com/cNQH6ak76l
