WATCH: Russell stays hot by hitting his third homer in four games

by - Senior Writer -

Going yard for the third time in four games, Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell clubbed a 381-foot no-doubter in the top of the second on Tuesday. Putting the Cubs up on the Houston Astros by a score of 2-1, Russell made perfect contact on the opposite-field solo jack.

With a drive to right, Russell tallied his fourth long ball of the season. Astros starter Corbin Martin lobbed a slider over the outside edge of the plate that Russell smoked off the bat at 99 miles per hour. The dinger was elevated at an angle of 25 degrees and immediately followed an inning-opening solo round-tripper hit by Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward.
