Cubs News: Yu Darvish jokes about his blister: "I put pee on it" |
Cubs starting pitcher
Yu Darvish has been impressive this spring.
However, during his last start, he had to leave the game early with two outs in the fifth inning with a blister on his right ring finger. The blister has healed mostly, and he was able to do a bullpen session on Friday morning and hopeful of making his scheduled session on Sunday and then a regular-season start against the Rangers. Darvish joked with the media on Friday that he had peed on his blister to try to heal it as a few teammates had given him this ridiculous advice. "I put pee on it, Darvish laughed. No No No (I didn't)." It appears that Darvish is having a lot more fun in 2019 and that can only spell good things for the Cubs and their fanbase this season. Because it needed to be a GIF. pic.twitter.com/jDdFmqQMFY Bullpen session with Darvish and Pedro Strop: Pedro Strop threw alongside Darvish today.
