Cubs second baseman Ben Zobrist was named National League Co-Player of the week with Bartolo Colon on Monday.

Zobrist batted .360 with .455 OBP, 1.335 OPS, four homers, 15 RBIs and eight runs in seven games last week. He has hit safely in the last seven games.

He became the first Cubs player with three or more RBI in three-straight games since Sammy Sosa in 2003.

For the season, Zobrist is batting .277 with five homers and 25 RBIs. Since April 21, he has 21 RBIs in 14 games which are the most in the National League.

He is one of five players with 20 runs, 20 RBIs and 20 walks this season.

This is the first player of the week award for Zobrist as a member of the Cubs but he won it twice as a member of the Tampa Bay Rays in 2008 and 2011.
