I pray that the Cubs do not sign Iglesias. He is not a backup shortstop. He should be playing every day. Look at what he did for the Reds this year versus the guy(s) who replaced him on the Tigers. The only reason he is not considered among the best by the baseball intelligencia is because of his lack of size and power. He is a clutch hitter who makes great contact. He is an elite and wonderful defensive shortstop. If Luis Aparacio were playing today he’d be considered by many to be a "good backup" in case the starter got injured. Very disappointing.
