So true! My exposure to baseball came later in life, in the 90s when I was living in Indianapolis. I became a true Cubs fan because I could watch plentiful, free games thanks to WGN. When that arrangement disappeared I was left with watching less frequent games on TV with teams I didn't care about and with only the occasional appearance of Cubs games. To adapt, I got interested in accessible minor league teams, and my interest in MLB waned. But now that I am living in a non-blackout area and have full access to Marquee Sports, my interest is all the way back. Having live game blackouts is a holdover from an older, take-me-out-to-the-ballpark era, and doesn't work in the modern world of streaming sports.
