Cubs starting pitchers are 9-6 with a 2.49 ERA (35 ER/126.1 IP) in the team’s last 22 games since May 28, with the club going 15-7 in those contests … Cubs starters have walked 52, struck out 96 and held the opponent to a .200 average (90-for-451) in that span, also holding the opposition to a .616 OPS.

The starters’ 2.49 ERA and .200 opponent average since May 28 both are the best marks in the majors.

The Cubs bullpen owns a 2.72 season ERA (79 ER/261.2 IP) that ranks second among major league bullpens behind Arizona (2.55) … Chicago’s relievers have posted a .209 opponent average, second-best in the majors behind the Yankees (.200), and a .614 opponent OPS, third in the majors (Yankees and Astros, .613).
