Cole Hamels (4-1, 4.02) vs. Adam Wainwright (4-5, 4.94)

Series finale. Cubs looking to avoid being swept. Not much time to prepare after last night's freakishly long rain delay.

M6 — KB breaks up the no-hitter with a base knock to LF with 1 out in the 6th. Cubs then get doubled off for the 2nd time today. Rizzo lines right to DeJong, who fires to 1B to get Bryant out. Wainwright's pitch count over 90, so Waino might not be in there for much longer.

B8 — Cub killer Carpenter comes in to pinch hit for Wainwright after Cubs challenge of Wong being out at 2B on steal doesn't pay off. Carpenter hits 2-out RBI single to CF to give Cards insurance run.

F — Cubs avoid shutout but can't avoid sweep. Bote grounds out to SS to end game. Pitching duel b/w Hamels & Waino highlights finale. Contreras' throwing error was the difference-making play.
