Cole Hamels (3-0, 3.16) vs. Felix Hernandez (1-2, 3.91)

Opener of 2-game interleague set at T-Mobile Park. Cubs have now already faced three of the five AL West teams this season. Former Ranger Hamels going up against a familiar foe.

T2 — Great start to 2nd for Cubs. Heyward lines single to CF to lead it off. Then, Contreras reaches 1B on bunt single. Not exactly a perfectly executed bunt, as it skies up into the air. But King Felix unable to get to it before it falls to the ground.

B4 — Mariners take lead in 4th. Encarnacion scores on groundout. Later, a couple of defensive mistakes help M's go ahead. Misplayed grounder at 3B by Bote leads to Beckham, who doubled earlier in the inning, scoring. After that, a bad throw by Baez lets another run come home.

F — Cishek gets punch out on 4-seamer to end the game, & he's fired up. Cubs win on Schwarber's go-ahead 2-run jack in the 8th. 2 straight gutty 6-5 wins now for the Cubs, who beat the D-backs 6-5 in 15 innings on Sunday.
