Third of four games in this series. Cubs on 3-game losing skid. Willson Contreras making a rather unorthodox start in right field for the Cubs.

T3 — Bad luck for Javy on a beastly hit. He hits a liner so hard that it ricochets off the top of the wall in RF & sails right to the right fielder. About as powerful a single for Javy as you'll see. Runners on the corners with 2 outs.

M5 — Contreras hits single that pushes Rizzo to 3B. Caratini then hits a fly ball to LF that isn't deep enough for Rizzo to try to score on. Bote then strikes out on 3 straight pitches to leave 2 runners stranded.

B9 — The baseball gods don't smile on Contreras this time around. He's used to having to make great throws but not running catches. He has a fly ball bounce off the end of his outstretched glove. Buccos now have runners on 2B & 3B with 1 out. Kimbrel looking to avoid his 1st blown save as a Cub.

B9 — Game tied. Russell tries his best at throwing out a runner at home on a chopper that he has to run up on in order to field. Caratini's swipe attempt a little too late. Contreras wasn't charged an error on the previous play, which went down as a double.

F — Pirates win it. Sac. fly from Dickerson brings home winning run. Schwarber's throw from LF not even close to being in time. Tough blow for Contreras, who kept the Cubs' lead intact with the great throw but then essentially lost it w/ the misplay in the next inning.
