B2 — Wacky stats for Darvish tonight. Almost Chatwood-like. 3 Ks but 5 BBs. Contreras guns down runner attempting to reach 3B on blown steal to help Darvish's cause. Runner then reaches 2B on wild pitch. 1 out with man on 2B now.

E3 — Cishek gets DeShields looking. Early appearance for Cishek. Will be interesting to see what his role in bullpen is this season, especially with Morrow already suffering from injury bug again. Could potentially be everyday setup man. Today, he's 1st line of defense after early exit by Darvish.

As an aside, this game showcases why there will always be long games, no matter how many fluky rule changes MLB makes. 3 hours in, & the game's just now through the 6th b/c of hard-fought ABs & understandable pitching changes. Nothing that weird tweaks to relief-pitching rules can do about that.

B8 — Discouraging outing by Edwards, who, like Darvish, is looking to rebound from an injury-riddled 2018. Terrible pitch selection, gives up lead on 3-run HR & has quirky, borderline illegal pitching mechanics on a few pitches.
