Opener of 7-game West Coast road trip for Cubs. Cubs beat Rockies in 2 out of 3 at Wrigley last week.

T2 — Former Rockies great Gonzalez gets a standing ovation from the fans as he steps up to the plate. He removes his helmet & tips it to the fans. Really cool gesture by Rockies catcher Wolters, who stepped out from behind the plate to prolong the ovation.

T2 — CarGo draws a walk. Arenado then gets him out at 2B with an insane web gem that showcases just how great of a defensive player he is. He decided to do a flip the ball out of his glove & over to 2B after fielding chopper. Really risky play, but it pays off.

By the way, unusual moment in the bottom of the 2nd. A Rockies player got really close to Darvish's line of sight while on deck. Darvish had to ask the umpire to make him move. Former Rockies slugger Todd Helton was known for doing that. Maybe it was passed down to the young Rockies. Maddon chatted with the home-plate umpire with it b/w innings.

T3 — Cubs getting to Marquez in 3rd. Bote hits leadoff blast, which is followed by dinger from Schwarber (who's been on a tear lately). A few ABs later, Rizzo golfs out a 2-run shot for his 17th long ball. All coming with no outs.

Well what a difference 48 hrs make....Cubs come back from 4 down..tonight Cubs blow 4 run lead....only a matter of time before they blow the whole Central division... the Cardinals will prevail...only matter of time
