What is Maddon thinking? Why in God's name, would you have Baez DH'ing with Descalso at second, when the Astros rake hits and runs left and right? Russell has hit .333 against Gerrit Cole (18 AB), so yes, insert him, but why not have Javy/Russell man SS and 2B against this team? Baez just had 2 days off this last week, so not like he's burned out. If Maddon is that insistent on playing Descalso (which boggles my mind with his recent outings), then DH him- why forfeit the defense AND give up an almost automatic out?

Why does Maddon do a lot of things he does? I am not a big fan of moving players all over the field If Bryant would have been at 3rd where he belongs he would be in the line-up now. And anyone with a brain know's Almora is the best choice to lead off.

I think Schwarber is making a name for himself in the leadoff spot, but I'd agree that had Joe left well enough alone, KB would be in the lineup now.
