Commentary: Has Addison Russell played his last game as a Cub?

Russell had a game against the Padres last weekend where he struck out and chucked his bat into the dugout, lost a pop-up in the sun, misplayed a pop-up, got doubled off second base, stayed at third on a play that went to a fielder’s backhand and he could have scored on and then got thrown out at home on the next play on a ground ball to third. Unless major injuries happen to 2 players that we don't even want to think about I think he has played his last game in Chicago this season until September or until he returns after being traded. The cubs have given him every opportunity to get back to the player he was but you could tell with all the issues that he was dealing with last year that that wasn't going to happen now bring in the fact that he doesn't know the signs which is something the team learns in Spring training what were you doing in Spring training when they were teaching this he doesn't have the mental capacity to be beyond the major league roster

I recall so much potential, and popularity for Russell during our title run in 2016. What a shame.
