Two interesting trade scenarios for Cubs

It’s that time again- summer trading season, and the Cubs seem to be looking to buy, sell and rent.

I will agree with you, Ian Happ is toast in Chicago. Everything else you wrote is not going to happen.

The Cubs don't need a left handed arm, they need guys that can get outs no matter which side they throw from. Trading Montgomery will not get them enough back in return right now so holding him until winter makes much more sense.

Since I've never heard of any of the guys you mentioned the Cubs getting back I can only assume you made them up and so we don't need more bad players.

I don't see the Cubs trading Happ for a rental.

Agreed...I think anything is possible but I doubt they will be able to swing for those relievers in a hot market.

How do you not see him being traded. Clearly his time and Chicago is over and that has been evident this season based on how many times hes been passed up on potential. They will be able to get a good picture for him whether a rental or not
