I originally wanted GIrardi but the more i think about it, i want Ross or this Espada. The only problem with Espada, is that the Cubs would have to wait until the world series is over to hire him. I think the Cubs will want this wrapped up before that is the case so they can start filling out their coaching staff. I fell this job is Ross's to lose and if he wants it bad enough all he has to do is say yes.

Me too but let me ask you this, if Espada is hired do you see Ross as Bench Coach. If Ross is Hired to you see Espada as bench coach with a pay raise to get him from Houston. Ideally, i like Ross because i think he could field a solid staff.

I am looking at Ross as Manager, Kevin Youkalis as Bench Coach, Mark DeRosa as hitting coach or bench coach because he has interviewed for Jobs before. Manny Ramierez as a hitting coach would be perfect for this team. Pitching would Greg Maddux, John Smoltz or Curt Schilling be safe bets?

I just think the Cubs have invested too much time into Ross the last two years to not give him the job
