That kid has a ton of character and a ton of talent. I think it was good that he got to be part of a team that woulda, coulda, shoulda, but fell short. Of course I had hoped the Cubs would win it all, but I also knew in June that it wasn't going to happen. Oh well, for Bote he now knows how to be even hungrier- go get 'em kid.

Dan (that ghost writer of ours) doesn't think Bote will get much more playing time than he did last year. Personally, I think he'll see a lot more time, especially if they trade any position players (Happ, Heyward) for pitching.

If no trades or injuries, he won't get that much playing time probably. He will just get spot starts when people are tired unless someone is struggling real bad.

He won't steal KB's at-bats this season if he is healthy.
