Brewers desperate to sell to non-Cubs fans

The Chicago Cubs fans have a reputation for supporting their team in large masses regardless of the away venue. In Milwaukee, the Cubs crowd has become so large in the last few years that some call it 'Wrigley North' as a nod to how well the Cubs travel.

The Brewers announced today that they are having a presale of all Brewers-Cubs game on Friday to Wisconsin residents only so that the Cubs fans won't be able to represent in such high numbers in 2018.

“The Crew wants Miller Park to be filled with loud and proud Wisconsin fans when they cheer on the boys of summer against their division foe this year,” according to the Brewers’ website.

The Cubs play at Miller Park for 10 games this season.

The Cubs Twitter account had a little fun of the Brewers in the following tweet.

The Brewers Twitter account kept the conversation going on Twitter.

To be anything other than what they are. I went to a game there last summer and the food was not that good. And the stadium parking? I would hate to be there when they have a crowd of mire than 20000. They have to bus people in from the downtown bars. Why they put the stadium where it is is beyond me. No atmosphere around the park at all!!! Just a crowd that goes in and leaves and that’s it.

Thanks for your take of the ballpark. I have never been to Miller Park but the only thing is probably cool is the mascot going down that slide after homers.

I'm not sure their teams are ever exciting looking from the outside.
