We need a strong start with the beginning of the season. The ending of the season will be really rough and don't want the players to be worn out and tired like last year.

Hopefullt they've lost some of their casual attitude and attack most games as they were "Game 163."

As I recall they lost game 163 so I hope they play like 2016.

I will predict that you are going to be incredibly disappointed once again in 2019. With a 162 game schedule players cannot and will not play with desperation every game. It is not physically or mentally possible. This isn't football where you play once a week.

The key is to limit the down times so that they don't extend into a week or ten days of bad baseball. I would agree with you that not seeing them commit stupid errors or sloppy play should be expected every game. Playing with the intensity you seem to demand of them is just not going to ever happen.

I guess all I'm saying is that I want them to go to work with a winning attitude. I don't want them resting on their heals and taking things for granted. (This is how you end up being swept in Cincinnati last season).

A winning attitude is miles different from playing with desperation. I would agree with you a winning attitude is vital. I'm not sure they rested on their heels last year at any time. The brewers were nuts and sometimes one team just matches up against you better.
