Cubs' missing Mojo

The Cubs have taken 6 out of their last 7 and seem to be finding their stride a bit, but some Cubs fans sense a hole in their lineup, pitching staff, or overall system. The stats would reflect the opposite however, as the Cubs are 3rd in ERA in the MLB and 1st in many offensive categories for the NL. Yet, last night's 14 inning game against the Mets illustrated perfectly what's missing: CLUTCH Hitting. Cubs rank dead last when batting with RISP. During the magical run of 2016 it seemed almost inevitable that every time they were put in a big spot at the plate, any number of guys would deliver. But now, two years after our championship season it seems that this clutch gene is what's lacking most and what might be our biggest deterrent from another championship parade. Thoughts?

I 100 percent agree on the clutch hitting. The Cubs have another level to get to offensively and when they do with RISP, they are going to score a ton of runs.

If they don't, they will probably be bounced out of the first round of the playoff by a good starting pitching squad.

KB is really struggling with the clutch gene. I don't like to see him up with the game on the line.
