Cubs vs. Angels Game Thread

Friday's batting lineup for the Cubs vs. the Anaheim Angels at 2:05 p.m. CT will be the following:

1. Jason Heyward DH
2. Albert Almora Jr. CF
3. Anthony Rizzo 1B
4. Kyle Schwarber LF
5. Chris Gimenez C
6. Tommy La Stella 3B
7. Peter Bourjos RF
8. Mike Freeman SS
9. David Bote 2B

This is the second leadoff start of the spring for outfielder Jason Heyward. Primarily, the Cubs have used Ian Happ in the first spot but he will get the day off today.

Javy Baez also gets the day off and will receive treatment on his hamstring even though he says he is 100% and ready to play on Saturday.

Veteran Jon Lester will get the starting pitching nod on the mound today.
