Opener of NL Central battle. 1st meeting since Brewers beat Cubs in game 163 last fall. Cubs taking on red-hot Brewers while going through tough losing stretch.

E7 — A tale of 2 teams for Cubs right now. Tops in majors in batting average & OBP entering tonight. Worst in ERA, WHIP, walks allowed & more on pitching end. Lester has been pretty solid, but literally every other Cubs pitcher who has seen quality action thus far has been fairly ineffective. Hard to explain.

T9 — Despite all of the horrific pitching for Chicago, the Cubs trail by only 3 in the 9th. It seemed like last season, the Cubs won several low-scoring games where quality pitching bailed out ineffective hitting. The polar opposite has occurred early on this season.

F — Deceptive final score at Miller Park. Brewers never seriously threatened by Cubs. Pitching woes doom Cubs & waste great hitting performance yet again. 8 HRs in all tonight. Descalso went 3-for-5.
