Say goodbye to our slugger. While no one expected Murphy to be re-signed by the Cubs, he was drawing little interest. Until today, The Brewers were the only team with noted interest, but out of nowhere, Colorado snatched him up. Great Park for Murphy to continue to hit long balls in, an I wish him nothing but the best.

Good hitter but he slumped at the worst possible time for us.

The breakdown of the offense seemed systemic. He'd have been a good guy to lend insight as to what they were doing wrong. If I were Tony Iapoce, I'd have been on the phone with Murphy in a minute, trying to gain intel.

Murphy got paid way too much but if anyone can rake at Coors Field, it will be him. Could work out well for them. He got max money ...I doubt anyone was close to that amount.

Good for him.

I never even heard of anyone talking to him (other than the Brewers- and that was for like 8 minutes).
