He had no issues in Texas and he had no issues in LA, so why would he suddenly have a fan issue in Chicago? Makes no sense and I don't believe it.

Not to mention he did have issues in LA. I absolutely remembering him hiding in the Cubs clubhouse, for fear he'd be booed for his World Series loss by Dodgers fans.

I have to correct you- Darvish has NOTHING to prove. He's getting paid regardless as to whether he wins a Cy Young, or finishes 1-18 with a 7.00+ ERA. On the up-side, he does seem to want to prove himself, which is a great thing. Here's the question: What is considered success? Is it winning at least 12 games, or is it just staying healthy and in the rotation?

I think he wants to prove his (contract) worth to the Cubs and fans.

I don't think he is the type of person to take hundreds of millions of dollars and not want to contribute greatly to the team.

I agree, he probably has a desire to do so, but even if he didn't he's still reaping the paychecks.
