If last year was Heyward's most productive year as a Cub, he can only improve.

I was and still a truther with Heyward last year to the point I drafted him in my fantasy baseball league. I think he can only be better from here he has the talent to be better. If last year was any case we could see Hayward being even better he had a 270 batting average with 67 runs last year compared to the year before with an average of 259 a .11 present increase. If he improves by .11 present again this year his average will be at 281. I can see this 281 is doable.

I'll be in the middle at .275. I would take that from J-Hey. Hopefully, he can hit a few more homers than last season.

I agree. .275 would be acceptable as log as he can increase his homers.

I would take 275 easily...maybe i'm to much of a fan with Heyward but I can see him doing better then 275

Sadly he is more likely not to have a .275 season. He has only done that mark two times, his rookie year and in 2015 before the Cubs signed him to the monster contract.

His lifetime batting average is .263 so that is more in line what to expect sadly. He is what he is. An elite defender and a mediocre hitter that flashes signs of potential.

hopefully, he can break out of his hitting this year... fingers crossed but math/ statistics are not on his side. I do like the defense type of players...so yeah. I'm just to hyped on him.

I hope he does well and bats .300 for the season. That would be huge for the Cubs. However, something has to be said for his being healthy, reliable, and playing good defense. They know what to expect from him. Least he's not always hurt and out of the lineup.

Well, one thing's for certain...if they start using the DH, Heyward won't get that spot... #ComeBackDexter
